Bares News!!!

Okay, I know it's been a while since my last post, so I'll give you all an update on each person in the

family. Some of them will tell you themselves.

Janey: I've been busy with color guard over the past few weeks. We have football games on Fridays and competitions on Saturdays. Yesterday, we went to a competition at Northshore and we got all Superiors. This weekend is "Louisiana Showcase of Bands," which is the biggest competition we attend and basically the most important performance of the year. Wish me luck! If you go to http://www.youtube.com/ and search "Erath High School Band at Bandboree 2009", you'll be able to see some of our show, but we've changed it a little. But you'll get the idea. It's our first performance, so it's not the best. Alot of people don't know, but our band is one of the best in the country. So we've recently been asked to perform in Hawaii! We'll be playing on the U.S.S. Arizona for the Pearl Harbor 70th anniversary memorial. It won't be until 2012, but we're getting everything planned. My 15th birthday is in a few weeks, so I'll be taking driver's ed for Thanksgiving. Oh, and homecoming was great!! Here are some pics.

Laura: Hey people! This is Laura. Sooo... I'm having a busy week. Every day after school, i've been at basketball practice. I made the Erath Middle girl's basketball team. Last six week i had b honor roll , i was elected the reporter of the EMS Jr. Beta club. Today we got a new dog. His name is Jaques and he is white and he is a mixed terrior. He's so cute! Here's a picture of him. Since last night was Halloween, I dressed as a hunter and went to a party at Toph & Kari's house. Well, that's about it. Bye!:)

Ross: This is Ross. Football is over. I'm on the basketball team at school. I had bronchitas last week, but now I'm better. Last six weeks I made all A's. I've been playing XBOX alot.

Caroline: okay, this is Janey. Caroline can't type her stuff because she is playing the Wii right now. Well, Caroline was just elected 4-H club president at LeBlanc Elementary. She went ice skating last week at a birthday party. Last night, she went to Toph & Kari's Halloween party dressed up as "Little Dead Riding Hood". That's about it.

Busy Days!!!

Hello People! I'm sorry that I haven't blogged in like forever. Since school started, we've barely had time to breathe! I've had after school band practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and football game performances on Fridays. To prepare for homecoming week, I've also been working on the Freshman float that will be in the parade. I was also in the Freshman class "stomp" performance. We came in 3rd place with our stomp and we performed it in front of both Erath High and Erath Middle! It was alot of fun. This Saturday night is the Homecoming dance. I'll have tons of pics from that and the homecoming game halftime show, which is the EHS band. Now you're probably wondering, why am I blogging with all that to do. Well, it seems that
I have quite a bit of time on my hands only recently. I've had the flu since Saturday. All of the Bares' have had it besides Caroline and my parents. My mom has brought to my attention that this blog is mostly about me. So.....Ross has the flu and the beginnings of pneumonia. He's been out of school since Monday. Ross has been doing football and they won the last game that he played. Laura is doing well in 7th grade. She's getting ready for Jr. Beta functions and enjoying going to all the football games. Laura also had the flu but it wasn't as bad as it was for me and Ross. Caroline hasn't gotten the flu this round. She is at her new school (LeBlanc Elementary) and it is a little different, but she is adjusting. Okay,well I'll try to blog sooner next time.

Updates From The Bayou!

Hey People! Well, I know I didn't do a very good job of updating the blog sooner. But I'm trying:) LOL. We all we had tons of fun in Oklahoma! We tubed on the Illinois River & hanged out at the lakehouse. Thanks again Uncle Dennis & Aunt Bev! The people who went were: me, my mom, my dad, Ross, Ross' friend Zack, Laura, Laura's friend Cassidy, Caroline, Nick, Kirby, Pam, Kayla, Todd, Aunt Jackie, Uncle Alan, and Katherine. Charli's baptism was fun too. Charli, Nannie Jenny & Parran Kirby came down to visit around the fourth. We can't wait to see them & everyone else for Christmas! Oh and here's some news from me! I'm going skiing in Colorado with the Lucas family, Ashleigh & Tom for Mardi Gras! But back to everyone else...The Bares', the Lucas' and Aunt Pam are leaving to go to Galveston Island on Sunday. I'll get some pics from Galveston and blog later.

Hey everyone! I'm sorry it's been like forever since our last blog. We kinda lost the password. But I found it!:) The Bares family has been very busy in May and June. Ross just finished up his baseball season. Caroline is currently in Colorado right now with Dee Dee and the Lucas family. They just returned from the Grand Canyon. We miss her so much! Laura and I have been chilling out. In May, we had our Academic Awards Ceremony at school. We all did really well and are extremely proud of each other. I had my 8th grade social on May the second. The pictures posted above are of social and of my trip to Washington D.C., Hershey and Lancaster, Pennsylvania that I went on for spring break with my school. Our family is leaving to go to Oklahoma for my godchild Charli's baptism. While we are in Oklahoma, we will meet up with Caroline, the Lucas family, and the Pfaff family at Uncle Dennis' lake house. Everyone in the Louisiana family is doing fine. I am a new member of the Erath High School color guard team. Getting ready for band camp a.k.a. "Hell Camp" is going to be a struggle. We practice for 14 straight days from 12 noon to 8 p.m. Our Fridays and Saturdays during football season will be booked. Ya'll come see me perform! Ross is going to be on the Erath Middle 7th grade football team. He also met Jake Delhome and got his autograph when he went to the horse races with his friend. Laura has made an instrument change. She used to play the flute, but she switched to percussion. This year is Caroline's first year in band and she is also playing percussion, but in the 5th grade band. On August 15, I will be attending the Jonas Brothers' concert in New Orleans with my friend Nicole!!! It will be on Joe's 20th birthday! But I am excited to see Nick! He's my favorite and totally gorgeous. My mom says I'm obsessed with him. I have had a few babysitting jobs so if anyone needs a babysitter, call me up!:) I pinky-promise that I won't lose the password again & that I will try to update it more often.

Louisiana Updates!

Hello Everyone! I am sorry that I have not blogged in a while. Our family has been very busy in the last two weeks. Here are a few pictures....

And I got my braces off!!!!! After two and a half years, I can't wait to show everyone my new teeth!

Ross had tryouts for baseball on Wednesday and he can't wait to see who his coach will be this year. Nothing much has been going on besides that. I will try to blog sooner next time. Bye!

Mardi Gras Excitement

Hey, Guys! There hasn't been much going on at our house since my last post. On Monday night, my mom and dad went to a meeting at Erath High because I am scheduling my classes for freshman year. There are alot of things to do in high school. Next Saturday I will be starting training for colorgaurd tryouts which are in May. I hope I make it.
Caroline has been doing very well in school. She has been keeping busy with homework, sleepovers, and riding the four-wheeler with the neighbors, Laura, me and Ross.
Laura is also doing well in school. She has lately been spending time playing the wii, riding the four-wheeler with the neighbors, and spening time with her friends.
Ross plays his Xbox ALOT!!!! Althought, he is finding enough time to study and do well in school. He has also signed up to play baseball.
The entire family is super-excited about Mardi Gras. We will be going to alot of parades so expect LOTS of pictures. Sorry that there have not been any yet. But we will make up for it during the Mardi Gras break.

Hi Everyone! Our family has decided to start a new blog. We think this is a good way to keep in touch with our family and friends all over. Janey will be the one who will do the blogging for us (with special commentary from everyone else in the family). She will try her best to keep everyone posted on all the "Bares Happenings".
